Join us to have fun & raise money to send 25 families of adults with disabilities to DisneyWorld. Making life changing & empowering memories. Join us for the best Halloween event in Glen Allen.
Event Details
The Skills Development Center, started by parents of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, privately funded organization established in 2011.
We recognize that services and opportunities are rare for our adult children and the freedom and choices that exemplify a “typical” adults’ life are not options for adults with mental disabilities.
These adults generally don’t get to enjoy adult relationships, careers, freedom to travel, or building their own families. Many can’t read, write or engage in verbal conversation.
But they have phenomenal personalities, endless imagination, and often special skills related to music, arts, or movies.
Help us give them a trip of a lifetime with their parents - we’re sending 25 families, with their parents to DisneyWorld for a week in December 2022.
Help give them a week to remember and celebrate their lives and families!! Let’s spark their imaginations, make memories and bring their cartoons to life!!
